Fangsong

Brand Design | Logo Design | Rendering
Fangsong Tea Rooms was the result that came from the collaborative brief created by the University of Lincoln and design agency. The task set was to take a forgotten pastime and re-create itself with new relevance for today's audiences. The resulting pastime being the Gongfu tea ceremony and a brand that focuses emphasis onto the ritualistic preparation and presentation of tea via city centre located tea rooms.

As the Gongfu tea ceremony has the benefits of relaxing its participants, the focus of the pastimes reinvention focused towards this. Even the name 'Fangsong' translates to relaxing. With the name confirmed as Fangsong, attention was drawn to the logo which resulted in a sharp, typography based logon, that is clean and accommodates the colour pallet promoting brightness, calmness and clear thinking.

Alongside the brands design, several touch points have been designed to show how Fangsong would work in reality.
The first physical piece is the Fangsong tea guide which provides informative details on the Gongfu tea ceremony, including how to prepare and what types of tea are avaiable.
